Re-imagining life’s potential and creating mini strategies to enjoy the NOW, be your true self, and continually move forwards

– Designer

I leave life coaching sessions feeling excited and inspired to explore different ideas and make the changes that will steer me in whatever direction I am seeking to pursue. Sue listens non-judgementally, and is skilled in making useful and realistic suggestions to help me respond to, and cope with, future situations.

When I first met Sue, I was in rut – I had forgotten my ambitions, my creativity and my sense of self.  I was feeling dissatisfied and lost in life.  I wanted to make changes but couldn’t put my finger on exactly where the problem lay, let alone what to do about it.  I was looking for a helping hand in navigating towards a happier and more fulfilling life.

Making the initial call to Sue was a big step.  I wasn’t sure whether life coaching was appropriate for addressing this vague feeling.  We had a short chat, and she suggested a first meeting to explore what life coaching offers, and to ascertain whether it was right for me.  Our first meeting was tinged with warmth, positivity and encouragement… I remember leaving feeling immediately lighter. I was surprised and delighted that our chat didn’t dwell on heavy past events, but instead explored my desires, passions, dreams and goals.  Sue showed a genuine interest in deeply understanding me and my concerns and anxieties, and this set the tone for all our future meetings.

A whole range of different issues – work life, career goals, home life, family life, relationship issues, confidence and wellbeing concerns, and burning inner ambitions – were affecting my outlook on life, and each of these impacted upon everything else.  I couldn’t see a way through.  Sue helped me to prioritise where to start, and to put a logical strategy in place that would eventually touch upon and improve each of those areas.

Looking back, Sue’s coaching was effective in helping me in both the immediate short-term, and the longer-term:

In the first instance, Sue helped me to overcome the hurdle of negative thinking about my then-present work and home situations.  She helped me to explore what practical steps I could implement immediately to help me feel better about those circumstances.

The small changes I did make then fed into a greater, long-term strategy.  By taking the first mini steps, I started to feel stronger, more empowered and more creative.  I was then able to take a greater ownership of my whole sense of identity and, by result, of where I was heading in life.  Some three years later, I am an altogether more positive and resilient person.  I have switched jobs, moved cities, and am working towards handling difficult situations more assertively.  I feel much happier and more accepting of who I am. I still use the valuable toolset that Sue gave me every single day.

Every time I talk with Sue, I leave feeling excited and inspired to explore different ideas and make the changes that will steer me in whatever direction I am seeking to pursue. She listens non-judgementally, and is skilled in making useful, practical and realistic suggestions to help me respond to, and cope with, future events and situations.  Working with Sue has helped me to build a bright future, and creatively envision a life brimming with fun, contentment and fulfilment.
